"Migration was kind of a mess"
My Dyn account migration ended up being way more confusing than I expected. I’m not even sure if I missed a step somewhere, but the login stuff and some settings didn’t seem to carry over cleanly. I had to keep digging around trying to figure out what was going on, and it just took too long. Frustrating after having used the service for a while.

"Works fine, but the dashboard is frustrating"
Dyn works okay once everything is set up, but the dashboard is kind of a headache. Why are the menus so clunky?? I feel like I’m always clicking around just to find something simple. A few pages load slower than I’d expect too. Maybe it’s great if you’re a power user, but for me it feels a bit outdated and not very user-friendly
"Felt pressured by the limits quickly"
I hit the usage limits way faster than I expected, and it put me in a stressful spot. When I reached out to support, they didn’t seem fully prepared to handle enterprise-level traffic questions, so I felt kind of pressured to figure things out on my own while things were already piling up.

"Price felt a bit much for me"
I used dyn for a while, and the price just started bugging me more over time. It worked fine enough, I guess, but every time I looked at what I was paying, I kept thinking I wasn’t really getting anything that amazing out of it.
Maybe it makes more sense if you’re a big company or you have some complicated setup, not that I totally know. For my smaller use, it just felt too expensive, so I ended up moving on because the value didn’t really add up in my head.

"Alerts came in way too late"
I kept getting alerts way after they would’ve actually been useful. It was also hard to tell who was supposed to be owning the issue or following up, so it felt like things were just floating around with no clear responsibility.

"DNS just stays up"
I've never had any downtime with it... the DNS just stays up and works like it should

"Solid docs, but search could use some work"
I’ve used the dyn.com docs a few times for DNS setup, and overall they’ve been helpful. Most of the steps were easy enough to follow, so I didn’t have to reach out to support much. That said, some older pages seem to be mixed in, and the search isn’t always great. Usually the answer is there if you poke around a bit. I’d give it 4 stars.

"Moving my domain away was more of a hassle than expected"
I tried transferring my domain away from dyn.com, it felt like something that should have been straightforward turned into a small project. Maybe I’m used to other registrars making this process clearer, but this one felt unnecessarily clunky to me.
The auth code took longer than I expected, and I didn’t find the account area very easy to understand. I ended up contacting support, and while they weren’t rude or anything, the replies were slow and didn’t really clear things up as much as I’d hoped.
To be fair, the transfer did eventually go through, so it wasn’t a total disaster. But from my perspective, I lost a few days chasing basic details that should’ve been simple, and I probably wouldn’t use them again for domains.

"Promises Didn’t Match What Actually Happened"
I’m frustrated with how the service changes were handled. We were given the impression things would be communicated clearly and ahead of time, but in reality the updates came late and everything felt disorganized. It’s annoying when what’s promised doesn’t line up with what customers actually experience.

"Reliable service that earned my trust"
I usually don’t leave reviews unless I’ve actually used something and feel like the experience backs it up. With Dyn, my impression has been straightforward: it feels solid and dependable.
One thing that made me more comfortable from the start is that Dyn has been around for a long time. I tend to trust online services more when they have a real track record instead of just looking good on the surface.
In actual use, nothing felt questionable or risky to me. Everything gave off a reliable, established feel, and that matters a lot when you’re choosing an online service you want to count on.

"Pretty Quick Help"
I needed help with this thing and they got back to me quick. That was really nice and made the whole process easier

"Dyn support fixed what I messed up"
I had managed to get myself tangled up with my DNS settings, that was on me. Dyn support actually knew what they were doing and walked me through clear steps instead of sending some generic copy-paste reply. The issue got fixed fast, and I was really happy with the help.
"Felt like it was fighting my router on purpose"
My router itself was working fine, but for some reason my devices just would not connect properly with this. It kept acting like everything should be okay, but then phones and laptops would drop or fail to connect. Maybe it’s just a compatibility issue, but it kind of felt like it was set up to only play nice with certain setups. Frustrating

"My hostname got dropped way faster..."
My hostname got dropped way faster than I expected, and trying to get it back was a real hassle. The policy feels harsh, especially if you miss the timing by just a little.

"DNS shouldn't be this unreliable"
The service goes down way too often and it’s starting to get really annoying. Like, DNS is one of those things I just need to work in the background without babysitting it. But every time it drops, everything grinds to a halt and I’m stuck dealing with it. Super frustrating when you’re just trying to get things done.

"The traffic routing does work most of…"
The traffic routing does work most of the time, and when it’s running smoothly, it does what it’s supposed to do. That said, there have been a few hiccups here and there that caused some inconvenience. I’m hoping the team can look into it and offer some kind of compensation or credit for the trouble, since it did affect the overall experience.

"Decent DNS, but a little uneven at times"
I’ve been using dyn for DNS for a while now, and overall it’s been okay. Most of the time lookups are quick enough and things just work in the background, which is what you want with DNS. But every now and then, especially during busier times or depending on the region, I’ll notice these random latency spikes that make it feel a bit less reliable than I’d hoped. To be fair, I haven’t had any major uptime problems, so it’s not like the service has been a disaster or anything. It’s just that for the price, I expected the performance to feel a little more consistent. It does the job, but it doesn’t always feel as smooth as it should. I’d say 3 stars feels about right.

"DNS updates took longer than I figured"
I kind of assumed it would be one of those quick DNS changes where you make the update, wait a bit, and move on. My usual mental shortcut is “DNS change = check back after a coffee,” but this took way longer than that. I kept refreshing and checking because I wasn’t sure if something was wrong or if it was just slow to propagate. Frustrating, honestly

"Honestly, the Login Security Feels a Bit Too Risky"
I like the service overall, but the login protection really feels like the weak spot here. Every time I sign in, I get this little sense of doom like, “Is this really enough to keep my account safe?” It definitely needs stronger security features, because right now it feels a bit too easy for something that should be locked down better

"Using the API was frustrating at first..."
Using the API was frustrating at first. It felt a bit shaky, the docs didn’t really clear things up, and some calls seemed to fail for no obvious reason. Support did get back to us eventually, but the wait slowed our setup down more than I would’ve liked. We got through it in the end, so I can’t say it was unusable, but it definitely wasn’t a smooth experience.
